AN ORGANISED LIFE
Okay it’s time to come clean. I LOVE STATIONARY. I have always loved it. I still have boxes of it packed away in my family home, having accumulated a vast array (mostly letter writing sets) since the time I could hold a pencil. I still write the odd letter, and have a few lovely little blue toned bits and pieces lying around for when required. I also have a stack of black and white striped cards that I use as thank you’s for the amazing people I get to work with via Alice Liddell. I am incredibly meticulous when it comes to which pens I use to write, and I will always ignore a yellow highlighter (it’s all about those rare coral coloured Stabilo Boss). One thing I long for from my childhood is my calligraphy fountain pen… Oh the joys Instagram would receive if I got my hands on that baby again. There are also countless journals, notebooks, budget books, goals books, weekly planners, sketch books, and diaries (both yearly and of the photo variety) crammed in to my tiny room.
And now I have a new love to add to the long list of desk-top-life-organising obsessions: the 2014 diary from An Organised Life, the latest project by uber-charming Beck Wadworth. A few bloggers were invited to Garlands Florist in Surry Hills last week for the Diary Launch at a breakfast catered and styled by Jason James. It truly was one of the greatest starts to a Friday morning I think I’ve had in this lifetime. Surrounded by amazing people, flora, food (come at me mini ham cheese croissants!!), and of course diaries, I was completely blissed out. The diary itself is one of the most visually stunning I have come across for such an affordable price. Each month is separated by what I can only really describe as a “title page” of monthly overview and simple monochrome pattern prints, and includes budget/expenses tables and space for shopping lists. Becks has thought of everything – what a doll. Oh and I’m also fairly smitten with the typeface.
Diaries are $40 + postage. For all enquiries, contact email@example.com
