Today I am dedicating my post to a dear and wonderful friend who just happens to be celebrating the end of a 5 year long, thesis-including, gruelling university degree. Congratulations Hannah-Rose!! I kept Ashely Olsen in mind when slipping into this ensemble (minus the sunnies…). Here we have many of Hannah’s favourite things: all black, simple classic silhouette, small bag (cross body strap optional), first-knuckle rings (although I hear these days she’s keeping it to one), leather sandals (which can now also be alternated with Birkenstocks), no makeup (embryolisse only thank you), undone hair, a touch of Petite Grand, and a big-ol’ cheesy grin.
I don’t think I really need to go over (again) how incredible this girl is, and what a difference she has made to my life since coming into it. So instead, I will take a leaf from her (future nobel-prize winning) book, and list my current loves….
Halloween (and all things pumpkin), handwriting, Pantone, simple loose dresses over swimmers, bare faces, messy ponytails, all black outfits with wine stained lips, Romeo & Juliet, long blacks in take away cups overlooking Bondi beach (my wonderful backyard), crosswords, support from girlfriends, Jean Shrimpton at Derby Day 1965, nude nail polish, breakfast bowls with spinach avocado eggs and quinoa, childhood flashbacks, John Keats (now and forever), Drew Barrymore, attempting to figure out how to lead a Parisian lifestyle in NYC and save the cash to action it, graph paper, Havaianas, and getaways to secluded beaches around Sydney Harbour with the best girls I know.
